Description:Kaiser Family Foundation conducted a nationally representative survey of to year-old youth in the United States about sexual health communication between teens and their parents. Fifty-one percent of teens 61 percent of females; 42 percent of males had discussed with their parents "how to know when you are ready to have sex. Among male teens, 50 percent had discussed condoms, but only 35 percent had discussed other forms of contraception.
