Chicken sex determination

Description:The normal distribution data were analyzed using the general linear model procedure of SAS version 9. The decreased eggshell temperature on d 9 is due to a drop in temperature caused by candling eggs to check for fertility on that date. The sexer inserts the tube into the evacuated cloaca and with the help of the light can identify either testis or ovaries. Eggshell temperatures in the hot treatment were not different between trials 1 and 3, but were 0. The same professional vent sexer sexed all chicks from the 3 trials. It is not clear as to whether the all-female snake neonates will eventually mate with a male, or reproduce asexually, or do both as does their mother. The hot treatment had a higher temperature than the standard, which had a higher temperature than the cool treatment in all trials.
