I had full and round breasts that made milk for my nursling. Since that day, I have wrestled constantly with the ways in which my body has both given and taken away. What I have, though, in spite of it all, is profound respect for the power that women possess, a deep reverence for the fleeting nature of this life, and an inherent knowing that no amount of self-deprecation will ever grant me peace.
